I pulled it out of the closet thinking it was pretty close. As I understand, the original shirt is a bit darker in person than one might imagine.
In darker lighting, it seems to have the correct tan-grey appearance. Where my shirt here appears the lightest (almost cream) was a shot in bright sunlight with the flash. Similarily, it seems to me that the film shirt looks the lightest (almost cream/white) in the "Cairo" street fght scenes, which were likelwise shot in broad daylight, and almost certainly with additional studio lighting.
If I use this shirt, I may have to have it custom tailored. It has a standard business shirt type pocket. I may have to have the tailor remove material from the back to duplicate the pockets n the front. Won't matter since the back of the shirt will never be seen.
