Indiana Jones prop license?

Do we know who has the prop license for the Indy movies? I've seen press releases with figures, toys, etc. but no prop license. Anyone know anything?

MR had planned to do some props, but I guess the breakdown of the LFL license scuppered those plans.

I've always had a strange feeling Sideshow would pull the Indy prop license, especially since they picked up the 1:1 droids about the same time MR was starting to lose it.

Yeah, i'm leaning toward sideshow as well. We all know they can pull off some pretty damn good looking things. One would think this would have been announced by now.

I thought I remember reading years ago that MR was going to do replicas of the idol and medallion and the release date was going to tie in with Indy 4. I guess that fell apart?

I was told personally in 2004 they had the license and had already been to the archives to pic pieces to get the prototypes. I was even told about the props in great detail. They even had slides of a prototype headpiece at one of their panels, I believe it was at SDCC in 2005. Then later they recanted the license story saying they were still trying to get it, so something happened.
I think that because MR no longer held the SW license that kind of put Indy out of the picture as well.

in 2005 United Cutlery was looking to get that license too. In talks with LFL etc. Then there was a freeze put on all talks etc. for any kind of Indy license. I am assuming MR was caught up in that as well.

The new BudK owned United went to LFL with a proposal etc. for Indy again and were turned down, LFL told them this license was already awarded to another company and they could not disclose that information yet.

It's hard to believe that almost three years could pass and no word would leak out about who got the license. Kinda makes you wonder if anyone even has the prop license at the moment.

My guess is that when Indy 4 was greenlit, LFL's estimation of the value of the property went up and the licensing fee went up with it, knocking contenders off the table.

Lads, just received this morning an advance galley for Indiana Jones: Off the Beaten Path by Georege Beahm discussing all things Indy. There's info on " Licensees for the Fourth Movie." They are as follows:

Gentle Giant
Hasbro
Hallmark
Lego
LucasArts
Official Pix
Random House, Scholastic, DK
Sideshow Toy
Toynami.

Our own Indy Magnoli supplied the prop pix for the book and is thanked on the Acknowledgements page. :thumbsup

A tip of the fedora to Indy Magnoli!

It would be nice if another one of our own would get a License.

Ahhh...so thats the book he was working on. I supplied him with one HD screen cap from Raiders for the book. If it made it in I suppose I could say I contributted about 1/100th of a percent. :)

Only company up there that does props are Sideshowtoy but I don't remember readint they got the prop license in addition to their statue stuff. Maybe they're waiting to annouce. Fingers crossed

Sorry A5, there are no actual pix from any of the films. If you can believe it, besides IM's props, all the pix are from the Indy show at Disney.

Here's the pic. Could have been overlooked since it't not prevalent in the film.

Alas, no, my friend, but in looking the book over more thoroughly, I see there are a few pages dedicated to Indyprops.com, Magnoli, and his replicas. :thumbsup

Thanks. Perhaps another project then? Maybe he worked on the Lost Journal of Indiana Jones? The author is Henry Jones.

So has anyone heard anything about and Indy props recently? Has anyone acquired the license? I'm a bit surprised nothing has come up seeing as these props would easily sell out
