Indiana Jones Licensed blitz begins...

I'm just glad they'd be releasing any kind of book. The only Indy reference books I have is the Lucasfilm Archives book (even then it's shared with SW) and the recent Empire Magazine Raiders 25th Anniversary issue.

The Indy Xbox game was suppose to have been released in the first quarter of 2007, are they actually going to wait until 2008? I think that would be pretty stupid. I WANT THAT GAME!!!

Stupid to release an Indiana Jones game in the early part of 2008 with the movie coming out that summer? How so?

It makes perfect sense, plus I'd rather them wait to get their new AI script to start working perfectly.

Thanks for that. Sucks tho. Looks like all 4 movies in one book. *sigh* As usual, Star Wars gets all the glory and Indy takes a backseat.

PD,
Have you heard any new info on any of the new Indy books due to come out next year?

This quoted from Steven Awalt of www.SpielbergFilms.com

The vintage novelizations for the first three "Indiana Jones" films will be collected in a single volume set for release this upcoming February. "The Adventures of Indiana Jones" includes "Raiders of the Lost Ark" by Campbell Black, "Temple of Doom" by James Kahn (one of my favorite novelizations), and "Last Crusade" by long-time Indy author Rob MacGregor.

The book is set for release on February 26. Here's a peek at the art. It's but one of eight (!) Indy books coming out between now and May!

No updates yet. It's a bit early. I'll probably be able to get more info around November. Books should just about be in production by then.

Supposed to be a Lego Indy videogame coming soon. Saw a preview for it at Best Buy. No idea of a release or if it will just include the original trilogy...

Was at a conference over the weekend and hit up the publishers releasing Indy tie-in books. Only Random House had a current catalog (DK had a problem with theirs and it didn't make the show, alas). The Rinzler Complete Making of Indiana Jones is a 288-page paperback selling for $35, so it should be identical to the paper version of his Making of Star Wars book.

The catalog copy says the book sports "behind-the-scenes stories and plenty of photos and production art from the upcoming movie," which makes me wary. I hope to god this isn't just another Crystal Skull book with some coverage of Raiders, etc.

Dark Horse had a big pic in their booth from the IJ Omnibus.

Although I didn't get as much hard info as I'd hoped, I did get on the publisher's radar, so should be getting some early copies, although the security on these is going to be tight. Will post on anything I get.

With all this cool stuff coming out, I want to get my hands on a great Indy hat. I know they can be found today but the only ones I've see have been the cheaper e-bay ones and Im not sure which is worth the cash. When a better Indy Idol comes out I'll sell off the one I own now. Its a great time for Indy fans!

Kotobukiya's Indiana Jones figures.
Likely PVC like their Batman stuff available in comic shops.
