Indiana Jones Licensed blitz begins...

I dig the new Adventure Figures:

Even if the new movie ends up crap.

I am really happy that all the old school stuff is on the way.

The film at a minimum has my gratitude for that at this point.

Indy has been off the marketing radar forever.

And they can do stuff so much better now then then old days too.

Shot some pix from Random's catalog featuing the Indy books. It was done quick and dirty, so my apologies for the terrible quality.

And a new Star Wars book

Nice, indeed, but I wonder which cover actually will appear on the book?
From what I've been told the one in the trade book is the temporary cover while the one you posted is supposed to be the final, or close to it.

Thanks for posting those pics. I see the re-released novels are hitting next month along with the OT film cards and perhaps some of the toys as well. Methinks next month is the real beginning leading up to the film. The long wait for Indy fans will finally be days gone past.

I got some info on the Rinzler Making of Indy book I thought I'd share.

Initially, I (and probably some of you too) was worried that this would be a Crystal Skull book with just a little info on the originals thrown in for ballast. I talked to the publisher yesterday, and it seems it's a OT book with just a little bit of Crystal Skill thrown in for ballast!

I'm doing a round-up of Indy stuff for work, and my contact at Del Rey yesterday said around next week or so he'd send me the first ten chapters of Rinzler, which concern the original films, but couldn't send the last two chapters on CS until its release date, so the plot isn't leaked.

So it's ten chapters on the OT and two on CS. Works for me.
