Clear out those Detolfs and hope for a prop range that spans the entire franchise!

Props are apparently licensed now - I'll wait for a proper press release before I go spreading what I heard but can't verify. Looks like we'll have Visual Dictionaries, Lego sets, video games, Happy Meal toys, and of course, props. Crazy to think how much swag will be out there soon!!

Cannot wait to start hearing more details! Here's hoping for some cool prop replicas! Fertility idol... the whip... Staff... Grail Diary... Wested style jackets... pistols... Cross of Coronado... could be a huge variety. Fingers crossed!

I'm stoked about the coming of new Indy stuff. I'm wondering if his bag is big enough to carry a laptop in? That would be fun to do at meetings.

I spoke to one of the publishers at C4 and they informed me, much to my dismay, that unlike the individual, Making of Star Wars books, that they'd be lumping all 3 older Indy movies into one book. :angry They said there is just not enough demand for single editions of the older films. I do imagine that Indy 4 will get it's own book, though.

I want my 300+ page Making of Raiders book!!! That Star Wars book just kicks all kinds of ass!

As usual, Star Wars gets all the love. :cry
 
well my Dk Piblishing "visual" guy to star wars.... they lumped the original trillogy into one book, and then did individual books for each of the new trilogy
 
I wanna say DK, but I'm not 100% certain. I do recall a sign that said, "We have Indy in 2008!", and they were in the main sales room. Maybe someone else can recall exactly who they were.
 
The Indy Xbox game was suppose to have been released in the first quarter of 2007, are they actually going to wait until 2008? I think that would be pretty stupid. I WANT THAT GAME!!!
 
Okay, over the weekend I did indeed speak with Scholastic, which had no info, but whatever they do will be for kids/YA. They had a Star Wars pop-up book that looked cute.

Random House is doing four Indy books: A Making of, a novelization, and two others they weren't sure about. I left my card with them and the person who knows supposedly will get back to me with the straight dope. I asked if Rinzler was doing the Making of book and the rep didn't know.

Left a card with the DK people too, who did get back to me with this:
"We will be publishing Indiana Jones: The Ultimate Guide, and a sticker book. The Ultimate Guide will contain information from all 4 movies, but beyond that, we don't have any more confirmed details on the book just yet. I'll be sure to keep you posted."
