Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Is the Rubies Skull useful as a prop?

My dream is someday someone gives Indy the Casino Royale treatment.

Get back to the roots, the core, the total bad ass and in charge character he was in that film (Raiders), and lots of solo action with him.The humor was perfect, the action amazing and believable. The scenes between Belloq and Indy were great, these guys were not that far apart, Indy just would not commit to crossing the line, but he would come up to it.

Just wow.

I want that character back.

I dont think that Harrison Ford whould accept the movie unless it was a good story. I belive it will be a nice twist.

BTW... Why should we be alone in the world...

DAMMIT... I forgot to mark my window with an X... GOT TO GO.

We all hope for the very best.

The 'Berg said he's making this movie for fans... I believe him. Spielberg doesn't screw up movies (1941 is the exception :lol). Say what you want 'bout War of the Worlds, et al, his movies from the last decade (like those before) are masterpieces (Munich, especially).

Yeah, I also wish someone would do that for "Trek", dont you?

+2....well said....same here.

But I'm hopeful that this latest installment will be entertaining. Although after seeing some of those pix, all I can think is "Damn, Indy looks old!"

Boy, I dunno. Have you guys seen this one?

Looks like they stumbled into Disney's Haunted Mansion.

I agree, not a good photograph there... keep the faith with this film, though! Kaminski, one of the great DPs of this generation, is shooting it. That gives me a lot of faith (as does the 'berg directing). It'll look like an Indy film, for sure (35mm 'scope -- and being cut on a moviola!).

Think more along the these lines:

I'm trying to keep an open mind, but I've always attacked the Mummy movies as being Indiana Jones wannabes with schlocky fake-looking sets, and the set in the picture I linked to looks terrible, and not just because of the ridiculously overdone spiderwebs. What truly worked about Raiders was the fact that Spielberg was just coming off his first critical and commercial bomb, 1941, and had been humbled. He shot Raiders fast and cheap and it worked. By contrast, KotCS looks a bit slick and bloated and...Mummy-ish.

Kind of off topic, but could someone obtain a hi-res pic of the above? I'd like to use it for my wallpaper.
