Independence Day Roof Antenna

Hello,

I'm looking for any information on this antenna from Independence Day used around 42 minutes into the movie when David is tracking a phone. I'd like to either buy or replicate one. Does anyone recognize it or have any ideas of what it could be from or originally used for?
