Incredible Private Prop Collection with hundreds of pics!

Wow...Being a noob...I have never seen the like. It also seems neither have some of the oldtimers. So that's some collection then...

Please express all of our thanks for sharing the pics of such an amazing feat and an inspiring collection.

High Regards

*****...

its like, houdiniguys collection is the ******* child offspring of this setup (no offense man, you just have the biggest collection i knew of, before this guy was made "public").

i have never seen so many props in one place in my life.

i dont even think winning the lottery could swing all those props. it would make a hell of a down payment, but not the entire collection :lol

it kind of saddens me though, cause out of the gajillion and a half props this guy has (which, damn thats a collection), i still have yet to figure out where the original superman kryptonite necklace prop ended up. i know its either lost to history or its in someones collection. he has the superman 4 crystal though, which is cool :)

man... at least we know someone to ask if we need measurements or some reference photos for something in the future ;)

First of all this guys collection is really not that impressive and let me tell you why. He does not have any Snakes on the muthertrucking plane. That's why.... :eek Can I come over and play Judge Dread for just 10 minutes...I'll pay you. Beautiful collection PLease dont let anyone smoke in that room. God I hope he has a good insurance policy......-----Chris-----

Easily one of the best collections I've ever seen.

WOW.

Thanks Mantis and Brandon for making the trip and sharing your pics and thanks to your host for allowing us inside as well.

Pics aren't enlarging for me either. Strange. Oh is DSC00737 what I think it is? The dagger set from the Omen 1970's film?

Wonderful. Thanks very much for taking the pictures, and thank your source for allowing them to be shared.

Do you remember much about the Jumanji box? Is it full with the game pieces inside? :eek

WOW... What a collection, and how much fun would it be putting together one like that?.?

Hope you guys enjoyed seeing this gallery as much as we enjoyed seeing the collection. Will try to get some of my own pics up shortly. THe server may be slow as it's a small, private server and is probably getting hit with a lot of traffic. Maybe best to try it again at an off-time...

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed to see all the comments here about money. Sure, there's a substantial dollar investment here, but putting together a collection like this requires a lot more than $, and it may be unique in the world in it's vastness. I don't think it's a reason for anyone to feel down about their own collection- each collection has it's own strengths and weaknesses. Why not just enjoy the photos and be glad that the owner is willing to share, and that it's not all locked away forever... (like some of the other great film archives out there)

Take care,
-Brandon

Amen, Brandon, amen. Now what's with the Jumanji box? ;) Anything inside?

I'm looking forward to seeing your pics.

Not sure to be honest. There is also an open Jumanji box in this collection, not sure if Dave has a pic of it up...I have some.

I have seen another original Jumanji box that was sealed up w/ pieces inside (or something inside that rattles.)

You just sent a chill up my spine...

Dave and Brandon...

Is your friend a "completist"? What I mean is, once he gets a hold of something, does he hang on to it, or does he continualyy trade and re-sell?

I certainly hope not...

I find it comforting to know that a LOT of VERY significant props are in what appears to be very good hands. I do hope he has a plan for the future for when the inevitable time comes (ala Forest Ackerman), like perhaps donating it to a museum.

He can always donate the Predator 2 mask and Pulse rifle to me when he snuffs it ;)

I take it he's not into Star Wars judging by the lack of any props?

He is defintely one that holds onto things....forever.

That is a good thing... One disturbing element of ths hobby is the possibility that improtant items get shifted around, stratified, adn eventually even lost (at least to the general public [foks like us], that is...).

Frustrating as it is that I may never have such fantastic items (well -- I have a couple that would fit right in to his collection), its nice to know that these items are more or less staying put.
