Um, that's what I've been saying. The film does not allow you to make a hard and fast determination. It has a bet each way.

That's what I've been saying. But, with your reply to my comment, you said that my my point of view and opinion was without basis. I can have an "of course" because of the evidence that's provided that backs it up, just as much as anyone else can have an "of course" about him being asleep.
 
if this movie dvd doesnt come with at least ONE small totem, someone didnt do their job.

I've seen this film five times in the cinema now. That's a lot! (That's the most I've been to one movie since Episode I back in '99.) I appreciate it more with each viewing. A superbly crafted film. I've found the pace, editing, production design, etc. all hold up under scrutiny and repeated viewings.

The fifth time I watched it, even though I tried to watch for inconsistencies and contrivances, I didn't find any. I also found myself drawn back into the story, and that's saying something when it's a fifth viewing.

Although it wasn't the most epic or grand film, when taking in the context of the limitations of its narrative scope, I think it's one of the most impressive films I've seen in quite a long time.

Have a question, in the flashback, when Leo's character is telling about the dreamworld he created with Mal and how they decided to exit it to the "real world"... can anyone tell me if I remember correct that Mal woke up a few or several seconds later than Leo's character? I recall it as if she did... but just wanted to make sure.

Watched this again tonight and all I can say is, wow. I liked it the first time but LOVE it now. It is rare that a movie still resonates as strongly the second time around, but this one is just getting better! Fantastic story!
 
I like this movie a lot...special effects in the hallway were amazing...only problem I had was it kept on reminding me of shutter island in some ways...doesnt help when both main characters were Leo..

I think the timing of the release of those two movies was VERY unfortunate, because I get a little of the same feeling myself. When I was watching Inception last night, I kept getting small flashes of Lero from Shutter Island.
 
Speculation is that it'd be an MMO, so I wouldn't expect much "animus" style gameplay, as much as a focus on things like messed up physics and creating the world around you. For the record, a lot of games (both MMOs and otherwise) based off of films tend to suck, so I wouldn't hope for a fantastic game here. The Matrix MMO was apparently pretty weak, for example, and I personally loathe Star Wars Galaxies.
 
Freaking loved this movie, just want to know, did the top fall at the end of the movie in theaters, I watched it on tape, and my friends watched it in theaters, the totem kept spinning and looking like to would fall before the credits came up, but the kids that saw it in theaters said it did fall.
