I'm gonna need a bigger boat,ORCA

I found a picture or 2 on the window with the mystery sticker, it does seam like they had a Deno 9 pointed through that window a lot. so it is possible that its just burnt tape or lighting gel. View attachment 1958849View attachment 1958850View attachment 1958851
interesting story. the Deno was invented by Deno DeLaurentis at north Carolina Wilmington studios. to save money on light he had them take car head lights, from the local scap yard and put them in a cheap flame. need more light go from a 9 to a 12 or any combination you like.
How true this story is? I can only go by what a was told all those years' ago back when we used them.
Wow look at that, right through the window! And that is Great Hollywood history!

I know these are more like props now than models but thought I would keep them on this thread.
These are the dimensions I’ve settled at, I figured that they would start with 10” boards and plane them down, if my plate are a standard size this make the table this size but like every one this is just a guess.
The cups are a unicorn I’ve given up on, still looking for the folks.
I couldn’t get 10” planks so using a veneer as the final top surface. Yes it’s a cheat but bite me :) this is a prop for a video.

What colour are quint’s trousers, I keep thinking there not black but brown
Different scenes different pants. in port his pants were dark Grey brown, Chumming and fishing, first shark sighting barrel scene they were Brown. Second barrel scene they were dark grey brown again until the final scene where Quint is eaten, his pants were a dark grey, when wet they looked black.

Ditto on this. In two or three of my favorite scenes it is clearly a fading black denim (which really means a now gray denim heading toward tan gray because of fraying denim surface) but that changes within moments. I believe they were identified in BossThreads research as a specific brand but with a changing contrast of "true" color.

I finally had to make the hard and fast decision to go with faded black denim because it lightens with dirt and dust but then darkens when wet. That covers most scenarios but doesn't pinpoint a single color positively. Just don't go tan or khaki on the pants nor the shoes as a final color. Severely dirty tan..... maybe, but not tan outright. I think it is worthy of a collage so I will work on that.
