Well, I go away for a couple of days and we come back to this. I’ve don’t even bother asking where the bar is anymore because it’s well above it if you don’t mind I’ve got a couple of questions. Firstly how much of the winch did you scratch built those cogs look like they’ve been purchased if you have purchased them Could you let me know where from? Secondly I hope the auction goes well with prop store. It’s worth every penny even more and finally do you have a plan to release any technical drawings because I’d like to have a go of scratch building some of the bits myself but I can understand if you don’t wanna do that thanks anyway .

The gears I bought in bulk EBay old clock gears for steam punk, you get a bag of hundreds of gears just hunt for the closest one, I got very lucky. I do have gear cutting tools but it’s a drag. To put together a comprehensive set of plans is a lot of work , that maybe I will do one day. You are a producer on the film so there will be something coming your way at some day :).

This is how sad I’ve become, I just saw the renders for the ORCA model kit and all I can see is all the things they’ve got wrong, I know this boat so well now I see it in my sleep, the model is perfectly fine if I hadn’t gone down this rabbit hole of madness I would buy it.

we would like you to stay right in the midst of your madness, precision and all. Models often get manufacturing ease thrown in for cost cutting and are "close"

3 stooges -

Quint looks perfect. The face is DEAD ON.

Brody looks very good too. Wire-frame glasses was the right way to go.

I think Hooper could use some tweaks. His shoulders/arms/hands look big for the body.

Hooper's skin tone looks kind of dark/muddy. I think that skin tone suits Brody better than Hooper. Roy Scheider looked like he did some regular sun tanning. (He was looking really dark in JAWS 2.) But Dreyfuss looked less "sun tanned" and more "sun burned" on the Orca. Maybe Dreyfuss didn't get in the sun until they filmed the Orca scenes and suddenly he was on the water all day.

I like the way your "stooges" each have their accurate shoes. That kind of little stuff really helps sell it. Most collectible or toy "action figures" have generic black/brown boots.
