I started making the fighting chair in white metal. It’s expensive for a one off, to make silicone molds but it’s better than risking the 3D prints at that scale.

Got home from work and couldn’t resist casting the base of the chair.

then I had to put it together. It’s so satisfying screwing it rather than using glue.

Screws arrived for the bolt plates. She looking big now.

I’ve never had much luck with making things to sell. ether I give them away, like my Hal 2000s or find out what a hassle it is half way through. the only time I really considered it was the harpoon guns, I bought all the parts made a prototype only to find out it was illegal to make fake guns and ship them from the UK .

If you want to make 25 copies of Quint's chair and just give them away to fans, I don't think any of us would mind! We would be glad to help you get rid of the inventory.

In fact, if you have any extra whole Orca replicas taking up space on your shelves, I might even pay for the shipping costs if you twisted my arm . . .

Step one in aged bronze casting paint job ,find the cheapest old can of terrible gold spray paint. Leave til totally cured.

That chair is the bomb and looks 1:1 scale

White spirit old tin of paint, dilute to with an inch of its life, splash on and leave alone till dry.

If it looks to bright just paint some more white spirit on.
