I'm declaring "V" and "The Event"...

...both crimes against humanity.

Anyone have the phone number for The Hague?

Never saw the Event, but are you referring to the season finale of V? I would have to agree.

They killed off favorite characters or messed them up somehow. I'm referring to Diana, Jack, Lisa and Tyler.

OH great!!! I have the last 5 episodes of "V" on the DVR still to watch. This declaration really inspires me to watch them, lol. This poses the question; is sucky Sci-Fi better than no Sci-Fi?

I was enjoying The Event before the break. Haven't started the new episodes yet.

The first episode of "The Event" after the break was very good. I still have to watch the second episode. I've also been enjoying "V", bad special effects and all. And I'm also enjoying "No Ordinary Family", another low ratings show.

Add me to the list of people who like the event. I really agree with the ads that likened it to a mix of lost and 24. I especially like how the seemingly different stories are actually quite intertwined into a single arc

V is "over the shoulder viewing" for me.

I'm on the computer, I flip it on the TV, and occasionally I look over my shoulder at it.

It's rather trashy. I guess one step up from a SyFy channel mess.

I saw the first season of V. Meh. Not bad but it just didn't grab me. Season 2 isn't streaming on Hulu, and I didn't like it enough to pay for it on iTunes, so I haven't bothered with season 2.

The Event I like. I just watched the most recent episode today. Good stuff. Fringe is probably my favorite show right now.

Heh, I'm kind of intrigued with "V" now- How can you go wrong with Marc Singer as the head of the MIB's? He's even got a good "Zed" beard going on and everything! :lol

I had no idea that was him!

I still like V, but the season is ridiculously short. The Event, like Stargate Universe, took way to long to get into the story. If SU kept going, it would be season 5 before they even found the bathroom on the ship!

I too like V... I remember watching the original series and it was good to see Diana and Marc Singer return. It reminds me of when Hatcher returned in the new BSG. I remember the big shock that happened when the first alien-human baby was born and everyone in the neighborhood was glued to the TV to see what it was gonna look like. The Event is just starting to get good. Finding out Kayla's dad was actually an alien was pretty cool, but I'm still trying to figure out exactly what Sophia is to her people... is she like the queen or commander or just focal brain behind everything. I wish they'd bring back Firefly. Fringe is my new X-Files... love it! Sorry to see Caprica go. It was just starting to get good Didn't like the fact that the Cyclons could be human... what is it with storylines these days that all the aliens have to be human... look what happened with Starship Troopers 2. Why couldn't they have just left them all bugs! You'd think Hollywood would have learned from that. At least Alien Nation kept the aliens alien even if they had human traits. Then you got District 9 with aliens that use a fuel that turns humans into aliens (interesting concept, sorry for the spoiler). Have we run out of good concepts? Here's a good storyline that could make a good series... how about John Titor... That might be worth investigating! Ok... I'll step down from my soapbox now!

The Event had potential... I thought the pilot and first couple of episodes were decent. It's got decent actors but the writing just sucks.

V has pretty much been lame from the start. I don't like the digital sets (even though they're done better than SyFy's Sanctuary.) The scenes where Anna and her mother open their big CGI mouths and eat rats are horrible. The 1980's practical fx were better. I love Morena Baccarin (sp?) but even her character sucks in this show.

I'm still watching to see how it wraps up but I don't expect it or the Event to be around past the end of the season.

Thank goodness the Cape finally got canceled. I keep asking myself "why do I watch these shows I don't really even like?"... maybe it's an OCD thing where I've got to finish what I started or something. Heck, one of my favorite past- times is complaining about Smallville and we're halfway through season 10 now.

Just watched the season ender for V. Wow, this really comes off as b-material left over from SyFy, not first run ABC programming. Hard to believe that these actors let themselves be seen on it.

But, like any car crash/train wreck it's hard not to watch.

:lol Yeah and now that he is on it will probably be canceled! :lol

I hope it goes for 1 more year!

Watched the first season of V, then it went on hiatus for so long that when I got my new tivo I just decided not to add it back into my season pass. Art absolutely hated it, but I had hopes for it, probably more cause I loved the original so much I wanted to like this one. Well, one of my clients who knows I'm a sci-fi geek kept bugging me to watch V again, that it was getting good, that Diana was back, etc. I tried, I tried twice, but just couldn't do it anymore. Just couldn't get into it, it seemed no different than the first season, kinda just stringing you along with no real meat, and such predictable and cliche characters and plots...I'm turning into Art! :lol
