ILM Model Stand photos- what does the base look like?

Maybe kind of a weird question- but does anyone have photos of what the BASES for the motion control stands for the models looked like?

All of the photos I've seen are basically a big square blue post with a pipe sticking out that the model is sitting on, but the base is always covered by a card or a tarp or something.

Mostly I have an idea for a display for something I'm working on. Thanks!

I'm now not sure I'm going to follow this exactly- I'll probably interpret a bit.
