If it didn't say 'Graflex', what would it say?

For an idealized Obi saber, I have sometimes thought it would be cool to have a ‘clamp’ that didn’t say ‘Graflex’ but rather something otherworldly. It would be cool to use letters in Aurabesh that look similar, or maybe spell ‘Graflex’ in Aurabesh phonetically according to the sounds assigned to the alphabet.

I’m not that up on the various fonts used in the SW universe. I wonder if there are other alternatives to consider?

I take the clamp section to be a common part and not necessarily something custom made by each Jedi, since it appears exactly the same on at least two sabers. A part mass-produced by the Jedi for their own use and labeled in a Jedi-specific font? Or maybe a power-coupling with a built-in switch, purchased from a company which uses Aurabesh? Could it possibly be a part sourced at some point from the Trade Federation?

Dunno... I always figured it was just the Standard "Basic" alphabet.. wasn't it on the testing device Mace held in Episode 1?

edit: K.. I guess it wasn't. not on-screen anyway. it IS used on Coruscant (on episode 2 at least) around the nightclub (casino?) but there are other alphabets there too....
meh, I guess it must have been standarzied after the rise of the empire.

That might be. Just thinking (off the top of my head) that the only place I saw Aurabesh, was on Imperial things. Have to go through the original releases of the Original Trilogy (not special editions).

Somewhere, I thought I remembered a High Jedi language. That may be fan-made, though.

Well, I just threw in the episode 1 and 2 dvds to look (in specific places) for it's presence.. it didnt seem to be in Ep.1, at least, not on the testing device as I thought I remembered (doh!)
Episode 2 Definitely had it toward the end of the speeder chase and around/in the casino/club. Problem is, there were NUMEROUS other scripts used in those areas too.. you may be right in it being the Imperial alphabet, in that it might have been standarzied after the rise of the empire.

(I know, my previous edit might seem redundant now... eh...)
