Hello,
I am going to do the arms and hands.

NOTE: My beautiful wife did the eyebrows! (Love her so big!)

Got this done tonight.
You can see Harvet Two Face in the background and Predator too
and the SLIPPERS!!!

They we're made by Jack Towsend (big name in OZ Stuff) He has hand made slippers for Smithsonian and MGM Grand in Vegas!!

Look also closely and you will see the doors to my theater Museum, They are the HERO doors from the movie the Muppets Wizard of OZ! Fun Family film. Kermit was scarecrow, ms Piggy was the good and wicked witch, gonzo the tin man etc.

The door I bought from Disney, they are 11' feet wide, x 13' feet tall, weighted in at 1,200 pounds and 5" inches thick. Thru the help of an RPFer had them trucked to Washington State at a cost of $1,200 and that was 3 1/2 years ago, THEN I hired my carpentewr friend to mount the suckers at the main doors to the Theater.

anywho...

Whats next in life sized 1:1...
Arnold Terminator style all the way, all pieces are here
and
The Tinman!!!!!!! The display will be the Scarecrow and Tinman guarding the slippers on a display base, tinman with Hatchet and Scarecrow with big butterfly net. above them I picked up years ago a 1/4 liscenced sized wicked witch with Margret hamiltons voice and FACE! that will be on string so that she is flying on her broom above them.
Also...
Just about ready to assemble my 1:1 Hellboy!!!!!!!!!! and Pinhead from Hell raiser.

I've been out of work for 3 months and have finally been catching up and selling off my goodies too.

ON with the pictures and special thanks to Tyler Haslett who did such an amazing job on the Scarecrow. I love the look that I think truly captured the essence of the charctere.

Enjoy... (I gotta find more mannequins on craigslist!)

The scarecrow's face is missing some lines around the mouth area.

Yea, it was a dark green, but It is so hard to tell the difference sometimes because different scarecrow memorbilia/pictures had him wearing a blue tunic and not green. Also, i think some dvd covers had him wearing a blue tunic.

I wanted to be the scarecrow last year, and during my research. I couldnt tell which color was correct. I didnt figure it out until i read a book on behind the scenes makeup tests. Also, on youtube theres a rare video of makeup tests..Pm me if you want the link..

Scarecrow is the best.

It's actually a lighter grayish green color as you can see in this photo of the original costume:

this next link shows a great amount of detail about the actual fabric used which seems to be a fleece type material:

Here's a link to a screen shot with lower lighting so you can see the fabric as it might look without harsh lighting or flashbulb lighting: more of an olive color:

This photo is probably as close as one might get to the actual indoor lighting color of his shirt:

That is a great job on a unique character that you just don't see in a lifesize format too often.
The ruby slippers are a nice touch.

Your Twoface Dark Knight lifesize also looks killer. :cheers

Wow! Great displays!

Did you paint the Harvey or did Tyler do that? I was just wondering how you (or Tyler) managed to get the sores to look so wet and oozy. It looks like a bit more than just a gloss coat, but I may be playing it up a bit. Either way Harvey, the scarecrow, and predator all look GREAT!

Too bad Tyler was banned. He did great work. Obviously, he deserved the ban, but it is a real shame. He was always a good guy to talk to one on one.

Congrats!

Kody

Tyler did they paintings.

All I ever do is consult my best friend and partner and fiance'
and then I get cheap mannequins off craigslist.

I usually pay way less than $100 each. some are older style but you can buy off ebay parts or broken off craigslist as well.

Then I use a dremmel and CUT THE HEAD OFF and sometimes I cut into the chest area as many bust have a front as well.

They are covered by costumes anyway and not seen.

Then forgive me but I take a long and large screw and carefully with cordless drill I go thru the rea of the bust and drill it into the mannequin.
and dresss them accordingly.

This I have found to be an inexpensive way to do life size.

If you need like superman a larger chest are, the secret I use is bubble wrap and packing tape. build a chest area up then dress them.

Heres a picture of my and my prop consultant and soon to be wife and guys, she's not only beautiful, she LOVES THIS STUFF!! and has had art in museums locally. she can paint too!!! Woo-Hoo!

I'm keeping her forever! *Sigh

By the way she has asked if she can join in with us all and become a member here. She has great humor and incite and a vast knowledge of film etc. I also has a step-son I got in the deal with her, He calls me Daddy, we;'ve been together 6 years now. Is there an age limit for him here?
He LOVES props! (Thinks I'm cool too) :lol

Happy Propping
Tom
