Ideas of a "plus size" male costume ?

I'm 6'3" and I've been told I'm too tall for many characters, screw that! Create the costume you want and enjoy!
Odin would be very cool :cool:thumbsup

Every time I see a Karl from Aqua teen hunger force costume I am blown away. There are heaps of fun one to do although maybe not as ambitious.

If you wanted to go scarey you could do Leatherface. Hagred from Harry Potter would work. The bottom line is, do what you want, and what will make you happy. True cosplayers (man, I hate that term.) should not judge you on your weight, or size. We all have a common passion, and love for the hobby. You should be complimented on what you do, not for what you look like. I am 6'3", and 210 lbs., my next costume will be Deathstroke...oh yeah, I'm 68, and just had a pacemaker put in, I plan on being a 70 year old predator. So, go for it brother, and enjoy.

THIS right here is why I love cosplay. I was afraid to do Black Widow because I'm not the right shape. WHO CARES. Do it!!! Your dedication and work will be appreciated by the right people. Also, though it may not be in your interest, a man about your size went as the chef from a Japanese game called "Tales of Symphonia." It was my sister and my favorite game in high school. When we saw him wearing, we totally geeked out! It was just great to see our favorite game getting some attention. :)

This may not play anymore, kinda old school, but I wish I had done up a costume of him back when I was over 300...

BARF from Spaceballs.

It's like getting to be a big wookie...

There are a few ironmans that look better on a big guy. MK1, Hulk Buster, and Ironmonger. Also i have seen one Whiplash armor (IM2 movie) that would work for a big guy.

Thank you all again for your great inputs... I am looking into all the new suggestions.

I am starting my first foam "build" this weekend for my son, a simple Captain America helmet, to get me on the road to a more ambitious build for myself.

Come on man I think your missing the Best "Big Guy" Voltstagg!!!!

Though like many have said, do what you want be happy have a great time with the kids.
My son had a blast at NYCC last year!

How about the Wolverine villain Cyber?
Get yourself a Batman cowl minus ears and take it from there.
Try something a little different...
short, stocky, and bad ass...

Do what you want to be. I have seen many that don't fit the mold. I'm 5'11" and weigh 218 right now and I've done the Scarlet Spider and Captain America. Lots of good ideas, but go with what you want to be, that's what makes it fun. I saw a guy who pulled off the Punisher who was my height and around 350, and he looked bad azz!!

What some cosplayer forget is that no matter how much you look like a character and no matter how great your costume is YOU ARE NOT THAT CHARACTER. The point is to dress up as tribute to something you love. Whether you are a perfect replica or just a loving fan it's about having fun. I am not a "big guy"; I'm fat. I enjoy costuming and props and I do it regardless if people think I'm too fat to be a character I love. It's about imagination. Pick something you love and don't worry about it. That's just my opinion.
