Well, I finished it today! Lots of work, but it was well worth it. I have to give a huge thanks to RPF'r "One End". I would never have tried this without seeing his amazing work on his son's costume.

This was the test fitting today. He didn't have the pants on, but this is everything else.

And I took a few construction pics, but they weren't anything special. I used a whole camping foam sleeping pad (I just had scraps left over) and a TON of hot glue :)

I had a lot of fun doing this one, and had to come up with some interesting ideas on how to make stuff work. When its all put together I will have some better pics. :)

I've seen less accurate Fett rifles made by adult hobbyists trying to do a legitimate prop replica! ;)

Nice work, Tony!

But dammit man now I want some Pringles!

Thanks! I still have all those pringles in a BIG baggie if you want them. :)

I took the pic before I figured out what to use for the t-tracks. I took a suggestion from another member and used the teeth of a plastic rake. A little dremel work and they came out great.

It's not fair! All these kids today getting to wear great costumes because their dads are so cool! :cry

When I was a kid I had to wear a stupid storebought Superman outfit with an idiotic plastic mask. And I had to be thankful for that. :angry

Yea, but nobody else could pull it off as well as you. :lol

Looks great. Not only does he have a great costume, he has his lunch with him as well. That was a great idea for building the jetpack.

Like I said, HUGE props to "ONE END". if you look at his thread, its basically how he did it. :)

Very nice job, very resourceful! May I suggest painting an orange tip on the gun? Just to avoid any chance of confusion at all!

No need to worry about that. I am walking with him, we live in a pretty contained neighborhood and my neighbor is the towns Police Captain. ;-)

That actually looks better than the licensed Rubies version.

Great job and I'm sure your kid loves it.

Now just get him to walk around saying "What if the candy doesn't survive?" in a gravelly voice and your golden :lol
