i need help

hay every one i need help with scaling the size of this rifle to make it be printed in full real life scale so i can use it as a template to make a EVA prop of it any help would be appreciated

Punished props has an excellent video on YouTube about scaling. I can't remember if it's on his own channel or the tested channel, but he takes a picture of his own hand holding a 1:1 scale pistol (like an airsoft or something) then super imposes it over the picture of what he wants to make.

well i wasn't sure if i was doing it correctly you know what i mean? so that's why i was asking for help

On a rifle, my measure had been what my father taught me. Hold you arm bent at the elbow at a 90 degree angle. The length of the shoulder stock is equal from the inside crook of your elbow to your trigger finger. Iv'e used this on many rifle prop, and had been satisfied with the resulting scale. Or you could take the measurement from a shoulder stock end to the trigger off of an existing rifle to be sure, and use that for your scale.

That's a rail gun commision from Axel Torvenius. Great weapon designer and artist. He posts on deviant art regularly.

My advice would be to scratch build this, or at least the main body. I would not print it, unless you have access to a large scale printer of course.

You can always print some of the smaller parts.

You could take it to a print shop maybe? I did that for a sword I made. I believe it was an office max I went to.

A woodworker named Matthias Wandel has a computer program called "big print" that is used to generate 1:1 printouts. You pull up the image and you input a known measurement on the image and it will print it scaled for you.
