I killed R2-D2!!

Last night, as I was painting my little R2 from the FineMolds 1/48 X-Wing, I was getting impatient so I took out my heat gun to help the paint dry in my cold garage. Well, my 4 year old distracted me long enough to melt poor R2. When I looked down he resembled a crushed beer can! I tried to reshape him to no avail. I felt kinda bad for the lil' fella. My son looked at the squished body and just summed it all up in one word: "oops". Well said, son, well said.

Otherwise, that is a great kit!!! I'll share pics if I ever get done.

I've been given the bird by R2! I've already got the R2 dome in place on the actual ship. I should've taken pics, but he's well on his way to the dump. He was truly beyond repair. Like I said, he looked like a crushed beer can.
