This is all a little early. But project 6th scale has been bubbling in the background, 3D printed all the components I need but the main part of the construction has to wait until I finish on the project I’ve just started, as it pays my living. Sorry NDA first rule “You can’t talk about project”
So I’ve been thinking mainly. The last 2 models were always about the shoot and on both occasions the shoot was a disaster rescued in the edit. Funny that I think Spielberg had the same problem.
Shoot 1 on the lake I was so overwhelmed by the sheer effort in getting the boat and the gear to the lake on my own, I squeezed of a few shots and ran, the dry shots was so cold everything froze.
Shoot 2 the lake was full of weeds that wrapped around the prop and over heated the motor cable so spent time fixing that, oh and it was so windy everything tell over every time the boat got to a good place on the lake with no other boats around, ie one of the crew fell over making the shot useless, ( yes I forgot to take black tack with me, something every camera person has in there bag)
I also approached the shoot the same way I would shoot a rolla derby game , turn up shoot what happens then worry about it later. Well this time I don’t want to do that. At 6th scale it will look a little better on camera but it’s going to be even harder to move around and I want to take it to hayling island so I can at last get those horizon shots I am desperate to get.
So the conclusion this time, this can’t be a one man band shoot. I’m going to have to get other people involved in driving the boat pulling focus ( something I struggle with now I wear glasses) transport and just helping hump stuff around.
This means a more regimented approach with goals I can communicate to a crew to help me achieve this dumb little shoot.
So unlike Hollywood today ( announce the release date, then hire a crew only then think about writing a script,,,,, oh slight dig). I’m going to story board (may be animate as I do have an unreal engine model now. ) I’m also going to give what every one was asking for , more of a story and include Bruce.
So this won’t be a day by date diary at the moment but as you were all so kind last time, I’m going to post on here again.

Oh the barrels are the NECA scale, 6th and just under half scale I call it BICP ( biggest I can print). There is a curtain person on this forum that I can invisage making a half scale version.

Glad that you have an on-going gig(y)(y)(y) As for the 1:6th scale project, no need to say that I'm eager to see a play-by-play thread (if possible, of course;)). That scale will be better than the previous ones as the person, here on the RPF, wanting to make a half scale version...would that be another U.K. member:p?

I don’t know if he wants to make a version but he does love him some big projects and his workshop is on an island full of boat builder. I’m saying no more ;-)

I'll need to put my sideburns back on so I can watch for sharks again. You gotta know I am already tied off to the back of this project and just dragging in your wake watching and waiting.
