How would I make a perfect sphere?

I need a perfect sphere for a pokeball I'm trying to make. I ordered some hollow metal spheres from a machining company online, but they were way too thick, and very gritty. I would really like the final project to have some weight to it and not feel cheap. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi there. That's not a lot of information to go on.........
.....but why not simply mould something that's round and appropriately sized and then roto cast it in resin and fill the interior with something that gives it the desired weight you're after.

Does it have to be metal? There are lots of other materials that spheres are made of. Plastics are easy to work with. You could always fill it with lead shot to make it more substantial.

How big a sphere are you looking for?

You could buy plastic hemispheres from http://www.plastruct.com/Home.html, and simply fill each half with resin mixed with lead or steel shot to give them some weight.
Or you could buy industrial plastic balls (phenolic resin or similar) and cut them in two and add a spacer - http://catalog.precisionplasticball.com/category/plastic-resin-balls.
Either way would work but the Plastruct way is the easiest.
