How to tint lenses? (The Last of Us)

Hey, gang!

So work continues on my Joel cosplay from The Last of Us, and I've just received my gas mask. I'm wondering if any of y'all know a method for getting the lenses all tinted and streaky, as seen in the reference image below?

Very thinned/watered down washes of black and brown acrylic. It will dry matte and dirty looking.

VHT "Nite Shades" tail light tinting spray paint.

I second VHT Nite Shades. Autozone may also have a comparable tint/smoke spray. They are used normally for tail lights.
