How to create a lightly sanded "frosted" finish in clear resin casts?

I'm casting something in clear resin, and I want it to have a frosted finish. Can I add anything to the silicone mold to cause this type of surface texture? I tried cornstarch, but that didn't do anything.

I suppose I could recast my object, lightly sand the new resin object, then re-mold/ cast that, but I don't have a sandblaster and the object is very complex, so it would be difficult to evenly sand all surfaces.

You can give the molding master a dusting from a rattlecan - only from about twice the recommended distance. Some of the paint drops will dry in the air and it will create a textured effect on the surface when done right. Highly undesirable when you want to give something a nice coat of paint, but it should work nicely for this specific application.
