How much would you pay for a complete Darth Vader?

Yuck- when people read articles like these (normal people who aren't into the whole prop thing), they're going to think that the original, undisputed, guaranteed screen-used costume was the thing that didn't sell.

Most people will never know the real story, makes me sad.

yeah just saw that on the news & was shocked at the price tag.
but the news here in vegas stated 360,000 though, 3 different prices.
they also said that it may have been used on the movie but they were not sure.
jamanticus, i agree with you on that after reading the article vs what i heard on the news.

The article in the Associated Press stated, "The costume is thought to have been made for "The Empire Strikes Back," the second film in George Lucas's sci-fi series, released in 1980." My guess is it didn't meet the reserve price because the seller couldn't provide definitive provenance.
