How many times have you bought the same movie....

You all bought Laserdisks, but no one bought HDDVDs? Amateurs.

When the Briefcase set of Blade Runner came out, they were pretty expensive, but I found a brand new HD DVD one on Amazon for $30. I was just interested in the stuff inside and already had the Final Cut on blu ray.

The ones I've bought the most are the Star Wars Trilogy and Terminator 2. I can't even count all the different versions of those films that I've owned.

My average is 3, usually tied to a format change.

VHS, DVD, blu-ray.

That list includes:

The Indy trilogy (the blu ray set came with a free coaster! Awesome!)
L.A. Confidential
Blade Runner

With Star Wars, I'm at three, but that's because I bought:

Widescreen VHS SEs (the "silver" box)
Widescreen VHS THX non-SEs (the "faces" box)
DVDs with the "LD rips" as "bonus discs"
Haven't bought the Blu-Rays and don't intend to unless/until it's the archival non-SEs of the OT.

Most others it's been twice. Blade Runner might crack 4 if I decide to spring for the blu-ray set.
