I figured i would ask the masters ...since searching this question online leads to some scary things .... so .. how do you get weird bumps and deformations out of dried latex .. is there a way to buff them out or shave them off that will not take ten years?

thanks guys :>

Unfortunately not really... You can add more rubber to it, adding texture that you WANT over top of them...

A dremel can be used with one of the felt tipped buffer tools. Wet the spots with Naptha and then LIGHTLY buff them off with the dremel. There may be to many for this to be effective though...

What's the project? Was this a cast piece? How was it made?

Not sure about latex but slicone needs to be massaged in a circular motion and moistened every so often. :love

Sorry I had a few glasses of Sangria! :lol

Big lumps can be trimmed down with small cuticle scissors, and then dremel tool with one of those tips that looks like a cotton ball to smooth the area out a bit.

I agree with the dremel, but I've used some of the grinding stones on low speed to remove those imperfections
