How can you turn the blade of a MR Yoda saber from green to red?

How can you turn the blade of a MR Yoda saber from green to red? I need a child-sized Vader saber and this is what came to mind. I know the 2 sabers are different, but I wondered about doing a simple color change. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Unless you're willing to replace all the green LEDs with red ones, which will take a bit of soldering work, I don't think that it's possible.

I could be wrong about how the Yoda FX saber is made (since I don't own one of them). But if it's like the others in the line there could be as many as 60 LEDs that are used for the lighting effect.

I'd recommend making your own saber and lighting it with something like a Luxeon or other high powered LED. That's just my 2 cents worth of advice.

or do a luxeon convert on it to whatever color in a L3 luxeon you wish thats available.

I've wondered about this too. I have a set of LEDs from a Vader ESB I've been saving. Do you think it would be as simple as just plugging them in? Are all the sabers LEDs connected the same way?

Well, the LED strip on the Vader saber is longer than the Yoda saber, so you'd have to cut it down.

Personally, I would go to the Lux conversion route. Then if you want to, you can switch it back to green (or any other color) any time you want.

Id just make a hardware hilt for it and put luxeon in it.

Those are nice child sized blades and they look pretty bright. Cheap too.
I've seen 'em on ebay btw...check there. Might be a good start. :cool

Remove LED string and replace with a red Rebel Star or Seoul 1w LED.
Just put the correct resistor in to regulate the current.
