How about this fabric for my NEM uniform? Need advice, please.

How big of a no-no would a NEM jumpsuit uniform be with the black fabric and the gray shoulders being moleskin, and the undershirt being a cotton blend knit.

I know (or think I do) that the screen used jumpsuits were wool elastique, right?

How 'off' would it look to use the moleskin?

Well if it's dyed the right color from a distance it won't look too wrong. However, it will be missing the distinctive difference in texture between the yoke and the binding of the yoke (e.g. the gabardine with which they bound the edges of the yoke). I can't imagine why you would go for the black fabric in moleskin instead of gabardine unless the moleskin is significantly cheaper or something.

And unless you found the right color for the shirt in a cotton blend knit you might as well go for the cotton spandex. It's 6 bucks a yard and you can get it at spandexworld.com or spandexhouse.com. If you're going to dye it that is. It really does add a feeling of quality to the shirt.

Yes, the screen used yokes were wool elastique with a binding of wool gabardine in the same color. The bodies of them were black gabardine. If you want to have a look at some of the details of the uniform I posted a bunch of photos of my screen used uniform at http://starfleet1701st.yuku.com in the Nemesis uniform section.

Thanks. Most of my tons of images are of itsawrap uniforms and screen shots, so your images were nice to see.
