Howdy folks! I have decided to try my hand at scratchbuilding, i have done plenty of kitbashes before with a bit of styrene added but never all scratch, so this`ll be an adventure.
I am attempting to build a resource collector from the RTS game Homeworld, which came out in 1998.
Here is a link to some pics of the collector (first three).

I found the pattern for this ship and more while i was surfing the net for game cheats (Hehe) when this popped up ericks paper models.
No, i didnt build the paper model i just downloaded the wireframe from the viewer and put it on a cd and gave it to a cowoker that worked in design and he enlarged it to my specifications.
The size of this ship about 2ft long.
I am having him do fighter craft that are around 21inches and a few capitol ships that will be about 3ft long!
So, here are a few pics of the front of the collector, sorry its washed out but its late and i didnt want to put any primer on it just yet.

Weazel, do you have a larger picture of the Samus in your avatar?

Apophis, you've done an excellent job! I plan on doing the same thing with Starcraft buildings, vehicles, and figures ... Don't know when I'll get started on that though, if ever. The idea is to make dioramas of Starcraft battles.

Keep posting - I'd like to see more!
