Holocron build

Just a preview pic for the moment; this was a lighting test of the new pieces:

It's a modified kit build. And, yes -- that's a Golden Armor kit there. We didn't know.

The Holocron isn't dead, it is just going slowly with little to show now that I'm in the software stage. Once the displays are running properly I can get back to fitting up the lid and calling it done, but right now it is circuits on a desk with a nest of wires leading to my programmer. And if you want to see pics like that, there's way too many like that on my blog.

And the Holocron is finished. Had some software/hardware issues that ate up a little time.

I also uploaded an Instructable on the build: Holocron: Build a Star Wars Thumb Drive

The technical stuff; the outside shell is the original Golden Armor kit. The inner pieces are all my design, laser-engraved/cut at my local TechShop. Lighting is via 4 Adafruit neopixels, driven from an ATtiny85 and programmed through the Arduino IDE via my home-brew target board. Powered through USB, with portable power via LiPO (with charging circuit on the USB leg).
