On a personal note, as a tip to everyone, if you are going to be doing a Harry Potter project, just remember to make 2 so I can grab one.. :lol

Come on over to the Free Harry Potter Paper Props sub forum. there's a 200+ page thread where you can find some awesome paper props for your trunk: Daily Prophets, Quibblers, Ministry paperwork, notes, letters, etc.

And of course, your Hogwarts welcome letter. :)

I know the free paper props thread :D but I thought maby there would be people with props in there minds :p but thank you anyway :D

Let's see your trunk. :) I'm working on a potions kit myself, with the ingredients for polyjuice potion.
I also found a template here for chocolate frog boxes, as I figured that one or two of those would be found in a school trunk.

Maybe add some WWW stuff? If you're in Amsterdam there's that coin market on...Wednesdays? Can't remember, but it's just north of the Spui square area and they sell some interesting old coins you might like. You can maybe find one to make a DA fake galleon with. And see if you can find an old key anywhere (Waterlooplein always had some 'interesting' antiques you may luck out with).

Lastly, see if you can make a quill or two. Dunno where you'd find a good enough feather, but maybe Blokker or Xenos would have some. Xenos likely has some good storage box thingies for inside your trunk, now that I think about it.

I found some clasp lid spice jars from the dollar store/pound shop, so that's what I used. I'll post a photo when it's done. So perhaps see what sort of spice bottles you can find? If not, there's always the internet.

And WWW = Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. Someone here made a wicked Skiving Snackbox.

No, not really. You saw HP/WB products when they originally came out, but that is all. Oh, you may be able to find mundane things, like the random puzzle, coloring book or Lego set, etc. or if something new comes out. But most of it is long-gone, I'm afraid.

The only HP products I have seen in US stores are the legos. :( I have bought quite a few items on-line, however, from ebay/amazon/wbshop.

Good luck with your trunk & Hogwarts items! I'm planning on doing this myself as well. :)
