Hogan's Heros radio/coffee pot

How funny is this... I am watching Hogan's Heroes right now and they just used the coffee pot a few minutes ago. :lol

I did a google search and found this answer:

Answer
your question is one of the most interesting one i've answered in a while. the coffee pot, to my knowledge is actually british and was manufactured by sheffield in london, england. they also manufactered larger coffee and tea pots and all of the pots where just called sheffieldware.
i hope that anwers your question. you might want to see if sheffield is still in business and is on the internet.
thanks for writing, fran fwagner1@cfl.rr.com

Yup I found the same thing before I asked the RPF but I was interested in a model number.

Mic, if you you could post some pic that would help a ton.

The PIH listing of the original.

And a pic a member here posted of one he found. I think he wanted to sell it. Can't remember who it was.

No idea the model or type.

I was the one that had the pot for sale. Sold on Ebay about a year ago. Don't remember the model or maker but I might have some info on a back up drive. I'll check tomorrow.

I wonder if I was the one who bought it. :lol I have not done the project yet but it's something I will get to at some point.

Dunno if it's due to a difference of perspective in the pics or not, but the body on SurferGeek's pot looks a little more squarish. And I'm guessing the top is made from something else as it looks completely different to me. Higher in porportion and all metal where the SG one looks like it has the more traditional clear knob on top so you can see the coffee perc.

Actually that picture isn't of the one that I sold. Although it is the same model. The top you see that was used in the TV show is the same as on the coffee maker minus the glass perk top piece. Also the difference in color of the metal is just due to age and corrosion.

So there you go.
Robeson Rochester Corp.
Royal Rochester Model D-33
1933

Now I just gotta find one.

Not so fast... I couldn't find the info on the model but Robeson doesn't ring a bell. Also, let's look at the differences.

First is the shape of the handle... slightly different. Also where the top of the handle meets the body. As well, the shape of the body above the middle parting line. I looked for a long time to find the same body shapes and details and found that there were many makers with similar designs... many very similar but few had all the details.

I'm thinking the brand was Universal? I asked the auction co. to show a photo of the bottom hoping to see the manufacturer, but the bottom plate covering the heating element and fuse are all removed to house the red power light installed on the side of the lower flange where the Bakelite feet are mounted. I saw no manufacturers name or model anywhere in the bottom flange. The wood handle and metal mounts look like other Universal percolators I've seen on line and the coffee strainer is Universal along with the cover that mounts into the strainer with the Pyrex dome being removable from the cover plate. The top cover and Pyrex dome covered the the speaker mounted in the strainer with the cover plate remaining mounted to the strainer and speaker grill cloth. It sold for 10K in June 2017 at auction.

Hi Guy's,

One of my favorite shows of all time. My buddy Mike found this on e-bay I think, and I converted it. I'll add one of me reference shots as well. I put the switch in the bottom to turn the light on. I'm afraid it will never make coffee again...
