Hobbit Props?

Hey, I Went to see The Hobbit the other night and all i can say is wow!, I thought it was so good i would like to get a prop from it, I dont know what but to be honest i havent seen anything at all for sale from the film, Any ideas?, Thanks, SammyPotter43

Weta definitely made a new hero sting because the sting that is featured in the hobbit does not have any runes on it...yet.

As for glamdring, I'm not too sure because it is the exact same sword. But I'm guessing new hero Glamdrings were also made.

Peter Jackson and Richard Taylor do not sell the screen used props. Other than the few that were given to the actors and few members of the crew, they still have everything from all of their films. Thousands of props. Not many actual screen used props have ever gotten out there.

The sting is going for auction next month. Expected price is 50K.

Now that the final installment of the Hobbit is out, does anyone know if any of the Hobbit props are coming up for auction? Either that, or going on display anywhere? I was lucky enough to be in the UK when the LOTR prop exhibit was shown at the London Science Center (prior to release of Return of the King). In addition to auctions, I was also wondering if there were any plans for a touring Hobbit prop exhibit?

The staff sold for £80,000, and the sword went for £279,000!

Great items, but alot of money!
