Highlander UC sword

Which one are you looking for? I have the Duncan sword, and it's perfect, except for where UC put their etching on the blade with the Highlander logo, serial number, ect. It's screen accurate for the last season, Endgame, and *shudders*..the Source. I've seen the Kurgan's sword. It looks PRETTY accurate, except for the guard blades that go against the blade when "folded" instead of into the guard. The Connor sword is theoretically screen accurate, for the original movie, but i don't like the big brass tack/screw thingy that it's got. The scabbard however is amazingly accurate to the movie. The Tsuba is pretty much screen accurate too, but while the tsuba from the movie was thicker than your average guard, I'm thinking this one's is a bit TOO thick imho.
 
Well if you're talking about the mentor H1, I think this is the best:

Thats the original Tom Mulack mentor with the resin tsuba and resin habaki with SS blade... he spent years getting all the measurments and pics he coud to have it made.

The UC's actually really inaccurate - insofar as Connor's sword is concerned. I remember looking at progress photos Kit Rae posted wherein he basically stated (via accompanying text) that the sculpt is a sort of fanciful melding of the details from the first and second films. He even mentioned that they changed the nose on the dragon because he simply didn't like the bulbous nose and wanted something more bat-like.

I was super-excited that UC was doing these blades, but when I saw that liberties were being taken simply because the sculptor/s didn't "like" the design of the original...I decided I didn't need to own one.

I own the Connor Signature Katana that Marto did, and while it's not quite right - it's a nice looking wall-hanger. The UC version...eh.

I'm sure there are plenty of people here who could point out far more accurate items - and I truly welcome that. I'd love to own a better version.
 
Interesting. That's pretty lame that they changed it just because they didn't like the original. That's a bad excuse.

Highlander Swords - Official Highlander Message Board

Talk to Irishamericanlad or the guys from Zeist Armories. These two make the best and most accurate Highlander swords from the first film. Daryl(Irishamericanlad) makes an awesome H1 sword and the Zeist Armorie guys make a couple H1 swords and they all have great responses by owners.

The guys there can also give you contact info to get a true Duncan sword from season 1 buy the guy who made it for the show.
 
Daryl (Irishamericanlad) makes the H1 Conner sword in a very accurate weathered version. It is dead on accurate but he can customize it any way you want. Great guy as well

Zeist Armories has several versions of the H1 Conner sword. One is very accurate where as the other is very accurate but more idealized. I believe they also do not weather their swords.

Everything I have read on these two makers has been very positive and I personally dealt with Daryl and he is a great guy.

All the licensed H1 production swords are terribly inacurate. The Marto, if you want Conner's Highlander Endgame sword is accurate since that is what he carried in the movie but compared to the H1 it is very very different.
