That's not a bad idea to Dremel away some of the carbonite in area. The casting is nice; but sharpening the details I think will give more it a better look in areas.
I got one of those Kits from Halloweenking on ebay. It wasn't GREAT but it wasn't TERRIBLE. Its been sitting in my garage for over a year. I'm starting to decide its "good enough" especially since its a display piece for my rec-room bar and doesn't have to be a screen accurate masterpiece.
I'm glad your Han from Halloweenking wasn't terrible - I got mine from him a month or so back - expected a good amount of prep and sanding but it was not in good shape- it has bubbles in the teeth that will be a pain to smooth, it a few fingers were broken and epoxy puttied back on, there is a large odd seam through his chest thats going to be a challenge to clean up, and it wasn't prepped for shipping well so it had several cracks by the belt UGH!. I am
annoyed, although I got it for a good price. I feel like it will be crazy time consuming but at least I can do it ( those skills I picked up from repairing surfboards in college are gonna pay off)
Who did those measurements? looking at many pictures from the Star Wars Identity Exhibit the box shape feel very rectangular and on that plan its a bit different

Thanks, I plan to build a HIC myself but I did look for some refs. ACtually, gathering all Identity fan photos and the model in that exhibit is great but I dont know the origin. Is it the HIC from ESB or ROTJ?
