Here Goes Something Awesome!

I HAVE ORDERED 2 cold cathode white 12 inch tubes for the dish section plus 2 blue for warp nacelles what do you think ?
its only because iam lazy :) but i thought it might give a more even distribution for the general lighting in the dish?

I know of a couple of builds that are using CC tubes. I would think the advantages are simplicity and cost and they trow a lot of light. I have heard that they are VERY fragile and can be difficult to fit into the primary hull. It may be hard to direct enough light out to where you want it, say the sensor array or bridge. The side windows would be ok.

yes i am using it mainly for the sides windows and ultra bright white leds for the bridge.
i just cant be arsed to solder half a dozen leds together for each window section.
its a daunting kit so much you want to fit in it then knowing were to start.

can anyone get me a high rez sceen cap of Kirk and Scotty in the inspection pod? Yes, i'm going there. Oh yea, here's what a saucer section should look like: round one . . .

It needs a little detail work, but i think the idea's come across B)
And how in the world do i get those spots inder the bridge to work?? no links, just tell me . . .

Karl, if you can get the other one, i'd apprecitate it.. Thanks..

Also, knocked this out with those great caps you have..

You're sick. That shuttle pod must be the size of a flea. :lol

Now you gotta make a tiny Vulcan Shuttle docking behind the bridge. ;)

And don't forget to have a little guy with motorized arm, waving at the ship. :rolleyes

Travel Pod available at Cargo Six...

Found this on the web... I think I've seen a whole set of detail pix of the Travel Pod miniature, orthographic views, but I don't remember where. This is a test shot not from the film.

Miniature on display somewhere, also from IDIC.

Looks like the miniature got modified for a later film, Trek 4 I think. Note the pod is now longer, with that end piece built up over where the docking ring is (with no hatch, how do they get OUT? Transporter? :lol )

Nice Work Bee I found on the web.

Well, if you do, he better look like me..... :lol

Just a bump, gang. Sorry things are taking long, but it's real hot out here(109 today), and that doesn't lend itself to outdoor painting and indoor sodering. So here's a few teases of what's upcoming this week..

Thanks to everyone who's been watching, and for all the pod research. I'm just about finished on that, and the lighting is coming along. I just hit thirty feet of wire total, and haven't even started the saucer yet.. See you all in a few days.. Stay cool... B)

Props to the chimp...

Hello again all. As the East coast has cooled off, I've approched the final stages of getting the hull finished. Here's a few shots of the mess coming from the hull. It looks messy, but every wire has been tagged, and each has a place to go, so it just looks heavy.

And this is what it feels like . . .

So for everyone watching, up next is the blue stripe along the hull. And boy, am I gonna show you how to do it right.... evryone else is using those silly patterns, but i'll show them all... Mwa-haha... B)

Man this is turning out pretty damn nice Hotshot. I will say though, you need more pics :)

He's very sneaky, our littel HotShot, isn't he? ;). He teases, he tasks, he tantalizes. It's like the Shadow bar in Vegas.

We may be hearing form HotShot shortly, but here are some new images he sent me to tantalize.
