help with this Trek prop

Ok, I bought this, it doesn't work, but I want to have it fixed. Does any one recognize this , who made it etc. It made of aluminum, i put a new battery in it but it is not lighting up. It is supposed to do a sequential led run around the top with green led's and the red one blinks. I can figure out how to take apart. U push it to supposedly start it. Help!

That's the hand scanner from a Mark VII medical tricorder. I can't say who made it, but it looks very similar to one I sold with a tricorder I sold awhile back. I seem to recall having some issues with the electronics, but it appeared to be a contact issue as it was difficult to get a good electrical connection between the parts by just squeezing the ends together.

yeah been trying to make it work by pulling up the contact deep inside. UGH its cool if it would work for me? I bought on ebay. First time ever I had something not work. Oh, it came with a leather little pouch for it.

Sweet buy, I was checking it out too, looks like a great scanner, they seem to be going for quite a bit lately, hope ya can get it to work!
