Re: How to....

What kind of armor ?

I do vacuum forming and I think it's the best way to mass produce anything .

Some people don't like vacuum forming, I think it's just a matter of opinion. Let me know what your thinking about.

Carving in foam is fast, then you can ether cast your piece in plaster, for your buck mold or you can cover it with fiber glass and use that as your buck. I'm working on some armor right now.

It would help if I knew what kind of armor we were talking about.

Re: How to....

First all, posting in the right forum would be a good start. This is modeling for models, what you want is costuming or the prop forum. 2nd, having a better title to actually say what you want instead of leaving it open to...... Using the search engine is a great way to start and do research also. Regardless if your vacuum forming or fiberglass, you need to sculpt, mold, make a buck etc first and then go from there. Vacuum forming has has its + or - for mass producing too. Just depends on what your going for. Posting pictures or describing would be helpful too to give a better opinion.:thumbsup

I want to sculpt clay and make batman armor out of fiberglass and latex or stuff please let me know what I need.

As stated in your other thread, this should be posted in the COSTUME or PROP sections of the forum NOT the model section.

Use the Search Function for information on your subject matter.

Re: How to....

A completely custom suit can run into thousands of dollars. Is it for a trade show ? Or is it something that lots of people want ? Or are you planing to win money at costume contests ? If you aren't going to make money off it some how it might be hard to justify the expense . How much are you willing to sink into this ? And is there a dead line ?
