Help with Emperor ROTJ Costume

Not making it for Halloween.
I have an Emperor bust and want to build a life size Emperor.
I need Good ref pics and some info. Tried Google and didn't find great shots of his face.
I can't afford the MR cane at the moment so I'm gonna try making one.
25 years of wood working should help.
Does anyone have the dimensions of the cane?
Also, I read the Cloak was a Waffle pattern material but in the movie it looks more like a corduroy type.
Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

The book Dressing a Galaxy has some good photos of the emperor, at least of the red outfit. It has one good close up of one cloak pattern.
It's by Trisha Biggar, the designer.

get the star wars magic of myth book, the one with the see threepio on the cover. it was a companion book to the smithsonian exhibition, and has a few very nice pics of the rotj emporer inner and outer robe, cane and clasp. it is definitely a waffle fabric. Tho in all honesty, most people just end up making a simple black fabric robe.
