Help, with District 9 Wikus Flower

Hello builders, I come asking for a favor. I'm looking to make a flower like Wikus made at the end of the movie. I have not run into a clear picture that would help. These are the pictures I found here, here, and here. I was thinking of making this out of card stock paper using an origami flower like this one. However, with out a clear picture of the actual flower I can only guess which flower to use. So if you have a better picture of the flower in question or a better origami flower I would greatly appreciate the help.

Quick update I was able to find additional screen caps of the movie. So if you know what type of flower or one that resembles it I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance Al

If i remember rightly the best images of that flower is when his wife finds it and puts it up to the camera.

I went through the same scene and thats as close as the camera gets to her hand. I want to build this for a X-mas present and the movie isn't released till four days after We'll I guess I'll just wing it and see how it comes out.

Looks kinda like a poppy. Googling turns up a few different ways of making an origami poppy -- this or this, for example.

Thanks mud, I'm going to end up using the first oragami. i'll post pictures as I progress.

I also ran across this, from someone who made one out of a soda can. There is a mention of instructions, but I don't see a link to any at first glance.
