I need help! I am brand new to making costumes, but I love Deadpool. I found this picture, sadly I do not know who the artist is, and I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on how to recreate this. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

If you have little skill and you were intimidated by a scratch build, try ordering an Elucha Deadpool wrestling mask and adding the straps and stitches.

Wow, that actually looks really good. I really was hoping to make it from scratch though, I have tons of material around the house, (my wife likes to sew) and that way I could try to make it fit my head perfectly.

This mask will fit perfectly, as it is made from spandex. If you're wanting to make it from scratch, try using the search feature at the top. Look for Deadpool/spider-man mask pattern and you should find something to help you. Then once you've made it you can add the straps to the back etc. Good luck!

Let me know if you find a way to make one. I dont really like those wrestler masks. I thought of using one of those kids batman faces and cutting the horns off

Haha, great minds think alike, I thought of trying that same thing. Don't see why it wouldn't work.

Well, I decided to try to make a super simple fabric mask, and then get the fit perfect. Then I'll decide where I want the seams, cut it up and make a pattern out of it for the leather. What do you think of making parts of it out of leather and other parts out of lycra?

If you did that, it wouldnt have the sunk in eyes, the lycra would go smooth over the face with no expreesion

Ahh, I didn't think of that. I love the look of the rigid masks people are making, but I was hoping to make it without that piece. Any suggestions?

Yeah, a plastic shell woud be good, especially if the front part of the mask (where the shell would be) would interact very nicely with the straps if the straps were actually attached to the shell. then you could remove the front portion of the mask, and that would be really cool.
