Well all depending on how high the point goes it and how flexible then i dont se a problem with the belt. Also if you have a coreset under then you have limited chance of bending like that anyway.

I got this pic with the DC Batman & Wonder Woman a few years ago. Looks like the same cowl and it seems to fit him just fine.

They don't look like the fabric flags are usually made out of which would really NOT be good for making undies out of.
