HELP: Superman Toupee??

So I'm working on a Superman costume but no longer have enough hair to do this naturally. My first idea was to get a wig... but then I thought, what about just a toupee?

Here I am au naturale:

I thought by using a toupee, it'd be a nice excuse to dye my silver sides black. So, do you think it's a practical option? Something like this:

Or... should I just get a full wig? Or dye my hair and go as a receding Superman?? Or leave it grey and try to explain to people about the Earth 22 Superman???

Any suggestions?

It does not call for too much hair on the sides, Are toupee more reliable in reality than comedy skits? They seem very prone to fall off at the worst of times.
A full blown wig can be a very effective costume piece and used in many costumes.
A receding superman to the general public may be confusing

Well... Shatner seems to use them reliably for years!

If you have enough confidence, I'd say the toupee is the way to go, but if you don't, I'd say go a wig. Like what others said, a receding Superman does't sound great.
