***HELP*** BRICKWALL i have the foamboard cutter from xacto, got the pieces nice and clean, problem is i wanted to do an assembly test for the forearm, i am not quite 100% on how to cut at angles to have the pieces meet up properly , other than that its been smooth sailing thanks guys!

Basically, you want to cut at half of the angle you need on the piece.

Take this bicep:

And focus on the connection of these two pieces:

Here is the angle they meet at:

So you take that angle, and bisect it:

Leaving two angles that are just slightly sloped outward.

I hope that's what you were asking and that the pics helped.

A couple things to note: Sometimes the angles will change on a single piece, and for a smooth join, you'll have to change your cutting angle in the middle.

Also, a quick rule of thumb is that if pieces form a mountain joint, cut in. Valley joint (like the example above) cut out.

Some cuts aren't straight up and aren't 45 degrees. You'll need to use a blade for those.

Yes, each edge has a particular angle value. Cut all your foam parts first with no particular angle, some quite right angles would go well, and then, only while assembling, you can adjust inclination edge after edge.

Thank you guys, this has been very helpful, what about when two pieces meet but are to create a 3d effect i understand we are to cut the edges so they meet properly but i have not figured now to cut those edges as stated in stealths vid i cant seem to get the cuts clean using a scissor but have the foam cutter but have no clue how to cut them with that

Drack thanks so much and everyone else as well cause my next question was about cleaning things up after poor cuts or just unworkable cuts cause the suit is for a 3 year old so some of these pieces are not as large and easy to cut again any and all advice is welcomed!
