HELP NEEDED TO IDENTIFY THIS KNOB/DIAL?

This is a knob found on the eva phaser rifle from first contact anyone recognise it or have a source?
any help would be much appreciated.

Looks like a model truck tire and rim.
 
May be. My first thought was "lamp part" because of how it looks like it is made from stamped sheet metal, but then I don't think I have seen any stamped lamp part with a knurling/tire pattern like that.
 
Yea, I just know from working with prop guys that they use model detail all the time for stuff like this. It looks alot like a Semi Truck front tire.

How big is it? This would give an idea of what scale the donor vehicle is and narrow the search (a bit).

I borrowed your photo and posted it in the General Modeling forum because it was a good example of a weathering technique I wanted to learn.

Someone in there named OhioAstromech said "It looks like it has a Cyclone tire from Mospeada Genesis Climber / Robotech the New Generation."

Maybe this will help.

now next question were can i get a wheel i had a look on the net but have been unable to locate a kit?
does anyone have a wheel they can loan me or sell me? or the kit cheers.
