Very nice piece. I love seeing when someone remembers the classics. It's also something different.

Very cool! What a strange surprise to see this kinda thing on the RPF. HUGE Metropolis and Fritz Lang geek here!

However as a RPFer I must nitpick. My main gripe is that the front removable piece should angled be more like a slice of pizza rather than a straight cut across the top.

Doing this makes the face opening narrower and more "feminine" in proportion. It also brings the side cylinders forward nicely.

A few other little proportion things here and there but overall a stunning replica. You are the only (and probably last person) to ever make the "Maria Trans-Helm" so that's a major win in my book. Bravo!

Are you planning on making any copies?

I like "Metamorphosis Helmet" or some such, but strictly speaking, Maria isn't transformed into anything--her likeness is merely copied and applied to the robot.

If Maria is not transformed, but merely copied, how about something like:
Metropolis Mimic Cap
Metropolis Mimicap
Metropolis Duplicap
Metropolis Copycap

or something simple like:
Metropolis Cranial Cap

It just seems to be more of a cap than a helmet to me.
