Have you seen the show Little Britain (or Little Britain USA)? You resemble one of the actors (Matt Lucas), who plays a whole variety of characters. Don't kill me when you figure out which characters! :lol

List of Little Britain characters

With the mustache there, you really remind of Florence Rose, "Emily" Howard's friend.

Another of my favorites is Andy Pipkin.

And if you don't have a buddy to play along for the above two character's, there's always Daffyd Thomas, the only gay in the village. :)

Do what I did. Make an effort to lose the weight and then wear what you want. Take the next year and dedicate yourself. I was 212 last may I'm 153 now.

I was actually thinking you looked a little like Farva from Super Troopers. That's one that would be semi-easy to put together. Just need a state trooper uniform. And it would probably get some props as he is the most popular character from that movie and is not a much done costume. Get a friend to go as bearf****r. :lol

**Note: If any of you haven't seen this movie, you should. Hilarious.

And speaking of Matt Lucas... You could always get a head start with his new character from the upcoming, likely cancelled shortly after it premeires series Krod Mandoon.

Or you could follow Matt's advice which I need to as well, but that's easier said than done when you don't have time to deal with a diet and exercise routine.

Silent Bob? Walter Sobchak? For best results you'll need a companion to be Jay or The Dude, respectively.

You'd be perfect for the Sandman Mystery Theater version of Wesley Dodds(aka The Sandman). In the JSA comics, he was usually depicted as the standard hero type, but I prefer the way Matt Wagner drew him for the SMT series. I linked some pictures below:

I'm having trouble finding great pics of this version right now, but if you're really interested, I'll scan some from my comics. The main difference is that in SMT he wore more earth tones, had a more realistic gas mask, and he had a little more meat on his bones than the regular JSA version. The costume shouldn't be too hard though.

all these great minds and you guys come up with FARVA? :lol :lol :lol (just kidding with you!)
believe me... i was a cop.... and i got the farva thing all...the...time. :lol

bizarro-
that looks like an interesting character... if its not too much trouble... id love to see some better images!
thanks!

You could always go as Uncle Marvel or the Silver Age Penguin.:)
I found some links that had the same images I wanted to scan. Hope these help.

Just keep in mind that this is the Sandman Mystery Theater version of the character, and not the way he appeared in the old JSA comics. The costume itself shouldn't be that hard. You'd need the suit(or possibly just the shirt and matching vest and pants), the longer overcoat, and gloves. The most important details are the gas gun and a WWII style gas mask.
Could you do me a favor? If you start working on this, keep me updated on your progress. I finally convinced my husband to dress as this character for a con and I could use any advice, specifically on where you get the gas mask and gun.

In that pic as a Ghostbuster, you don't look too unlike Dan Ackroyd.

How about another character portrayed by Dan Ackroyd?
One that I particularly like is Mr Conehead. The makeup would not be trivial, but the rest of the costume does not have to be spectacular. The essence of that character is in the performance!
