Help identifying this possible model kit part

Okay model kit guys

Anyone recognise the two square details on the side of the Hoth hat mounted comlink? They have faint horizontal lines on them. These are obivously resin castings.

It has been suggested by two people that they might be the radiators from a model car.

Any clues?

Those look like radiators from just about any AMT model truck kit (as in 18-wheeler). They made 1/24 and 1/43 kits. Hope that helps.

Scalling roughly from the Hengstler counter would make them approx 11/16" long (15mm approx.).

Would that be closer to 1/24 or 1/43 scale?

Maybe the rounded part is from the Black Hole kit, Cygnus, Palomino.

The round part is from the Revell V8 kit.

The only other parts unidentified are the two flat pieces on top with dimples in them. Mine are scratch built:

15 mm??? That's WAY too small to be any kind of typical kit radiator IMO. Large truck kit radiators are like 1 1/2 inches across. Even in 1/43 scale it will still be about 3/4 inch. 11/16 is just over 1/2 inch. I didn't realize these were so small. If it is a truck radiator, it would have to be 1/43 scale. Hope that helps.

They remind me of seat backs in some car models in the 1/24 scale. I used a few in kitbashing props so I recognized the vinyl horizontal pattern right away

I had a look at car and truck radiators and I haven't seen anything really close yet. Nothing with the thick border around them and as flat as these. Got any examples please?

Well, I couldn't find any pictures of a kit but I did find pictures of a real Honda CB900.

But I don't see anything resembling a large rectangular grille on these bikes. :cry

If the part{s} are so hard to find: I would say scratch build them from evergreen styrene sheet stock - an N-Scale corragated roofing may work, I would have to see the patterns to be sure.
