Help! First time builder!

I'm working on my first Iron Man pepakura helmet and I need some advice! The helmet went on and fit perfect before it got a coat of resin and was fiberglassed on the inside. Now with it solid it wont fit over my head, because the flexibility is gone. So I cut out the face plate and jaw. Whats the best way to attach them so they are also removable?

Are you planning on detailing the helmet with body filler/sanding? If so your best best is to keep all parts attached until you are done, otherwise the helmet parts can warp/change and not fit together correctly (this happened to me).

But as far as fitting the helmet on goes, most people cut out a bottom piece on the back of the helmet and have it attach to the helmet with magnets or something. If the helmet is built correctly you shouldn't be able to put it on without cutting out a piece like this. There's probably many picture examples of this in iron man threads around here for your reference.
